What is Spring Forest Qigong?
Spring Forest Qigong (SFQ) is a practice of simple movements, mental focus, breathing and meditation. In creating Spring Forest Qigong, Chunyi Lin has blended these together into a system that is so simple yet so very powerful that thousands of students have found the practice life-changing.
What is your cancellation policy?
We fully understand that unforeseen circumstances arise and that sessions may need to be cancelled or rescheduled. Please give at least 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling.
If 24 hours notice is not given, or if you do not show up for your appointment, understand that you will be charged for the full session.
If we are able to fill the time slot, you will not be charged.

What is QiGong, Anyway?
Chinese culture has known the secrets of Qigong (pronounced chee gong) for thousands of years, resulting in longevity, younger and healthier bodies. Although some in the western world are actively enjoying the benefits today, others have never heard of Qigong. Qi is often spelt chi as well, but both mean the same thing; energy. The term “Gong” means work, thus, “Qigong”equals “energy work.”
Everything in the universe is energy, not only did masters thousands of years know this, about a hundred years ago Einstein also came to the conclusion, everything is energy. With this as a foundation of truth we know that energy can change form, we cannot make more, and energy does not disappear.
Spring Forest Qigong is an advanced form of qigong created by Master Chunyi Lin. He is the founder of Spring Forest Qigong Center located in Eden Prairie MN. It was created so that everyone could have the opportunity to experience what we were born with; the ability to help ourselves and heal others.
There are thousands of styles of qigong, many of them complicated and shrouded in secrecy. SFQ is a simple, efficient and effective method for helping you heal physical and emotional pain and enhance the quality of your life and the lives of others. Anyone and everyone regardless of ability, age or beliefs can practice the techniques of SFQ to become healthier and happier.
Good health requires balance. Remove the imbalance and you remove the pain. With balance comes healing, peak performance, inner peace, harmony and happiness. In Spring Forest Qigong you learn to shift and change the energy in a way that creates a healthier balanced being, physically, emotional and spiritually.
Qigong is an ancient discipline of meditation, SFQ combines meditation, breathing techniques and body movements that create the changing of energy blockages in one’s body. Tai Chi is an outgrowth of qigong that is a martial arts form of energy moved outward, while qigong is moving energy inside one’s body.
When practiced routinely the benefits are numerous, research has shown Qigong can aid in the reduction of depression, anxiety, stress, physical and emotional pain, and assist with such things as fibromyalgia, cancer, and arthritis to name a few. In my own practice I have seen clients overcome extreme anxiety, regaining independence in life, migraines disappear and life goes back to normal in an hour session.

Qigong can be practiced standing, lying, or sitting. At Healing Waters QiGong Center, in Hudson WI, we assist you in moving your energy blockages. You can attend a class to learn how to shift your own energy and help others learn to shift energy blockages. The principles of Spring Forest Qigong are love, kindness and forgiveness.
Yoga, Reiki, Tai Chi, are all practices under the umbrella term of Qigong, consciously shifting energy to a more desirable state. It has taken decades for qigong to be recognizable; the yoga boom has made mind-body exercise more run of the mill. Yoga is now acceptable; Qigong is the next step to working the inner body’s energy patterns to remove blockages created by emotions, accidents, and weather. Even taking the wrong medicines can cause energy blockages in the body. Qigong removes the blockages creating a healthier body. Qigong is the yoga of 10 years ago; yoga has paved the way for body, mind and spiritual connection. Qigong complements traditional western health care and is used in collaboration with other approaches to health and healing.
Suggestions for a beginner is that you find one teacher and study with that one teacher for a period of time. As all masters and teachers have their own style and beliefs, changing teachers while learning a new discipline may be confusing.
Do you have 15 minutes a day to spare? If you could change your stress level in 15 minutes would you? Although best practiced without distractions you can actually take 15 minutes of conscious breathing and reduce your stress. If you are sitting at your office or driving, become aware of your breathing, you will begin to relax and release stress. You will let go of the stress that causes headaches and other pain and tension in your muscles. Can it really be this easy and simple? YES it doesn’t even cost you anything and you already do it unconsciously, simply shift your awareness and begin to relax.
